Episode Summary[]

A Moonlight dance is approaching at Teddy and P.J.'s school. P.J. asks Bob for some cash so he can DJ at the school's dance, but Bob says no as he wants P.J. to do it himself. Emmett tries to get Teddy to ask him to the dance, but she doesn't. Later that day Gabe tells Amy that he wants to go play Lazor tag with Charlie and everyone on Friday night, but Amy tells him that Friday night is his school's parent teacher night. Despite Gabe pointing they have been to plenty parent teacher nights, and they would all enjoy Lazor tag, Amy says they can do that anytime, she actually wants to meet Gabe's teacher as she hasn't called to complain about him. After she leaves, Gabe reveals to P.J. that he hasn't gotten into trouble because he had been saying that his parents arguing, which results in him not completing his assignments. Teddy asks Spencer out for the big night, and Ivy asks out Emmett so she and Teddy can get rides to the dance. Teddy tries to get her first kiss from Spencer, but Emmett, who is clearly jealous, tries to distract Spencer in the car. During a slow dance, Emmett asks P.J. to put on some hip hop which leads to a dance-off between the two dates. However, Teddy gets her first kiss with Spencer anyway. Meanwhile, Gabe tricks to get his parents to argue at a parent-teacher meeting because he has been lying to his teacher and when he tries to leave they don't budge and when his parents start getting along, he releases the class's pet rat, which runs around the room scaring everyone. As it turns out, he said that Bob hated Amy's perfume and that Amy hates it when Bob talks about his work. While his parents insist that they don't fight, they see a disturbing picture of Gabe crying while his parents are fighting. His parents demand an explanation, so Gabe confesses it was an excuse to not do any homework and as punishment he has to finish all of his overdue assignments by Monday.

Ivy: So who's this cutie you're gonna ask?

Teddy: Spencer.

Teddy: What window?
Ivy: The window of opportunity.
Teddy: Oh, thanks. That really clears things up.
Ivy: T, you almost kissed this guy, But nothing happened since then. If you don't act soon, you're doomed to be just friends.
Teddy: I like Spencer, he likes me, And I'll ask him when the time is right.
Ivy: That better be right now, chica, Because Lauren Sandoval is gonna ask him.
Teddy: Lauren would never do that to me. She's too good a friend.
Ivy: There's your good friend right now.
Teddy: Where?
Ivy: Walking up to Spencer.
Teddy: What? That little witch! (She shoots a slice of pizza at Lauren and SPLAT!!!) Yeah! Oh, Lauren, you poor thing. What a horrible, ugly tomatoey mess you are.
Ivy: Come on, pizza face, let's get you cleaned up. Come on.
Teddy: Oh, Spencer, hey. Didn't see you there.
Spencer: Hi, Teddy.
Teddy: Boy, that pizza really came out of nowhere, huh?
Spencer: Yeah. Nice shot.

Teddy: It's all in the wrist.
Amy: [Pointing at a picture of a happy family at the park.] Hey. Look, Honey. Gabe drew a picture of us!

Charlie: [smiling]

Amy: ...I'm gonna go with yes.
Gabe: Well, this is my classroom. Mrs. Mellish looks busy. Maybe we should come back next year.

Bob: Whoa, p-u alert.
Amy: I get it, okay?
Bob: I'm talking about Charlie's diaper. What's her problem?
Gabe: Heck if I know.
Amy: And for your information, Some people find that scent very pleasant.
Bob: A full diaper? I'm gonna be back in a minute. I'm gonna go change Charlie, okay?

Gabe: Okay.

Bob/Amy/Mrs. Mellish: Oh, yeah!
Mrs. Mellish: Have all your overdue assignments on my desk Monday morning.
Gabe: But that'll take me the whole weekend.
Mrs. Mellish: You poor thing.
Amy: Get your coat. We're leaving.
Bob: I can't believe we let him play us like that.
Amy: I know. How could I ever think you didn't like my perfume?
Bob: Well, it's not my favorite.
Amy: Said the guy with the cartoon cockroach on his blazer.

Bob: It's an ant.
Ivy: What happened?
Teddy: Emmett stole my date.
Spencer: Look, I'm sorry I got so caught up With Emmett and the dancing. I kind of like the way things were going before then.
